Petition to Denver Public School Board
The Far Northeast deserves a traditional high school option; our community is NOT an experiment. Many of the schools within the current charter structure are not achieving required academic standards or the promises made when this experiment started in 2010. The restoration of a TRADITIONAL 1500+ seat high school which includes: The Montbello campus be returned to traditional Montbello High School with progressive education programs. A stable school program and the strategic and maximized use of an existing school facility. Direct district support and responsibility for the school's success. A single community school that supports learning for all students Interim Warriors Regional Athletic Program, same mascot and colors, which includes: A regional athletic program that is supported by all local high schools, charter included. Families within the FNE have the choice to send their athletes to this program. Mascot and colors will be Warrior, black and silver ONLY. Proper equipment, uniforms and facilities as well as the appropriate financial support for the success of the program.
